LET’S FACE IT
Ink on paper, 2020
A fundraising campaign supporting MEDU (Doctor for Human Rights) during the COVID-19 crisis.
Since day one of my quarantine I started drawing my friends and other people I know on a single 25 meter sheet of paper. Drawing everyone on a single sheet has allowed me to explore human connection, even in times of social distancing. Although these figures have no face, the people in the drawings still managed to spot themselves.
Using the means I have available, my drawings, I have decided – together with my dear friend and activist Diletta Bellotti – to start a fundraiser to support those who are more vulnerable and prone to contract COVID-19. All funds will be donated to MEDU (Medici per i Diritti Umani – Doctors for Human Rights), who support thousands of people in Italy in precarious housing conditions. Let’s face it, for many of us having to stay home is easily achievable, but many people in our community are not as lucky.
An incentive for those who like art and the narcissists who want to bring together beauty and utility.
